Position Overview:
Were looking for a dedicated School Social Worker or School Counselor to join our supportive educational team in Zion, IL! This role focuses on providing social-emotional support and counseling services to elementary students, helping them develop the skills they need to thrive academically and personally. Youll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment where every child can succeed.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students.

Develop and implement intervention strategies to promote academic and emotional growth.

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and implement effective supports.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and accommodations.

Respond to crises and provide short-term counseling or referrals when necessary.

Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with school and state regulations.
Required Credentials / Non-Negotiables:

PEL (Professional Educator License) with either:

Social Worker Endorsement, or
-
School Counselor Endorsement
Experience supporting elementary-aged students preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
